It wasn’t public accounting that first drew Taylor Mathews’ attention. Straight out of college, Taylor began his career in the oil and gas industry, where he quickly found his niche and rose to the role of CFO. His experience in the sector includes contract negotiation, regulatory reporting, cash flow and budget forecasting, joint interest billing, and accounting department oversight. When his company was sold, Taylor began exploring new opportunities.

Today, Taylor serves in two roles at GMP: first, as the firm’s Managing Partner, and second, as a CFO Advisor. His background uniquely positions him to provide accounting and financial consulting to a wide range of businesses. Outside the office, Taylor is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golfing and watching college football—especially cheering on his alma mater, the Baylor Bears!
